Many thanks to the Galapagos PRO team, especially Finn Kurth, for the great organization of our trip to Quito and the Galapagos Islands. Our decision to explore the Galapagos by boat and to do so for 14 days on board the Angelito was a hit. There is no alternative to a boat trip to explore the diversity and the amazing wildlife. After the observations of the last 2 weeks, there is also no comparable alternative to the Angelito. The Angelito with Maya and her team is one of the last boat companies still in local hands and all employees come from Galapagos. This means that the added value stays where it belongs.

This should also be actively supported by the travel agencies so that the Angelito does not disappear from the scene. There are no comparable nature guides on the other boats either.

The rules of the national park are also often not observed on these boats.

We would definitely choose the Angelito again on a second tour to Galapagos.

Galapagos Pro should definitely plan for longer transfer times given the current conditions at the airports. For planning trips to Ecuador and the Galapagos, we would choose Galapagos Pro again as the organizer for future trips.

Unsere Entscheidung, Galapagos vom Boot aus zu erkunden und dies über 14 Tage auf der Angelito zu tun, war ein Volltreffer. Um die Vielfalt und die tolle Tierwelt zu erkunden, gibt es keine Alternative zu einer Bootstour. Nach den Beobachtungen der letzten 2 Wochen gibt es aber auch keine vergleichsweise Alternative zur Angelito. Die Angelito mit Maya und ihrem Team ist eine der letzten noch in einheimischen Händen befindliche Rederei und alle Angestellten stammen von Galapagos. Somit bleibt die Wertschöpfung dort, wo sie auch hingehört.

Dies sollte auch von den Reiseagenturen aktiv unterstützt werden, damit die Angelito nicht von der Bildfläche verschwindet. Vergleichbare Naturführer gibt es auf den anderen Booten ebenfalls nicht.

Auch werden auf diesen Booten die Regeln des Nationalparks oft nicht eingehalten.

Wir würden bei einer zweiten Tour nach Galapagos auf jeden Fall wieder die Angelito wählen.

Galapagos Pro sollte derzeit bei den Verhältnissen an den Flughäfen auf jeden Fall längere Umsteigezeiten einplanen. Zur Planung von Reisen nach Ecuador und nach Galapagos würden wir bei weiteren Reisen wieder Galapagos Pro als Organisator wählen.

Perfectly organized itinerary. Individual accommodation planned down to the last detail, diving excursions with private guide, very good implementation of our travel requests. The cruise ship met our expectations exactly. For us as a family with 3 teenagers, it was an absolutely wonderful, perfectly organized travel experience. For further trips there, anytime again via Galapagos Pro!!!

Perfekt organisierter Reiseablauf. Bis ins Detail geplante individuelle Unterkünfte, Tauchausflüge mit Privatguide, sehr gute Umsetzung unserer Reisewünsche. Das Kreuzfahrtschiff entsprach genau unseren Erwartungen. Für uns als Familie mit 3 Jugendlichen war es ein absolut wunderbares, perfekt organisiertes Reiseerlebnis. Für weitere Reisen dorthin jederzeit wieder über Galapagos Pro!!!

We have returned safely to Germany. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to do a proper review as we returned to work the very next day.

However, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the uncomplicated and good planning of the trip. We were very happy that Mr. Boyn recommended the cruise to the southern islands. We really liked the ship, the crew, the nature of the tours and the lack of civilization.

The guide gave us a very good introduction to the flora and fauna and the snorkeling tours were very diverse.

We were able to enjoy our stays on the islands as all the excursions were carried out without any complications. If I had to single out one tour in particular, I would choose Los Tuneles on Isabela.

Wir sind wieder gut nach Deutschland zurückgekehrt. Leider konnten wir noch keine richtige Nachlese betreiben, da wir uns gleich am nächsten Tag wieder ins Arbeitsleben gestürzt haben.

Ich möchte mich aber auf diesem Wege schon mal für die unkomplizierte und gute Planung der Reise bedanken. Wir waren sehr froh, dass Herr Boyn uns die Schiffsreise zu den südlichen Inseln an’s Herz gelegt hat. Das Schiff, die Crew, die Art der Touren und das Nichtvorhandensein von Zivilisation gefielen uns super.

Der Guide hat uns sehr gut auf die Pflanzen- und Tierwelt eingestimmt und die Schnorcheltouren waren sehr vielseitig.

Die Aufenthalte auf den Inseln konnten wir gut genießen, da alle Ausflüge komplikationslos durchgeführt wurden. Wenn man eine Tour besonders hervorheben sollte, würde ich mich auf Isabela für Los Tuneles entscheiden.

I booked a four-week individual trip with Galapagos Pro as a solo traveler. I spent two weeks traveling through Ecuador alone by public bus and then two weeks on the Galapagos Islands. I booked the trip very spontaneously, which worked really well and I was very well supported. The travel planning was very flexible. The staff know the area very well and gave great tips. I always had a contact person on site. I could always write to them if I had any questions or anything similar and they responded quickly. On the Galapagos Islands, I was welcomed on every island and taken to the hotel, and I was also accompanied during the transfer on departure. I think the price-performance ratio is great. I can only recommend Galapagos Pro, as the staff are very knowledgeable and create the trip individually according to your wishes. The Galapagos Islands are a unique experience. The mainland of Ecuador is also beautiful and varied, and I can recommend a trip to the Amazon lowlands. I always felt safe on the mainland during my trip to Ecuador and can highly recommend this country.

Ich habe als Alleinreisende eine vierwöchige Individualreise bei Galapagos Pro gebucht. Zwei Wochen bin ich durch Ecuador alleine mit dem öffentlichen Bus gereist, danach war ich zwei Wochen auf den Galapagos Inseln. Ich habe die Reise sehr spontan gebucht, dies hat super funktioniert und ich wurde sehr gut unterstützt. Die Reiseplanung war sehr flexibel. Die Mitarbeiter kennen sich in dieser Gegend sehr gut aus und haben prima Tips gegeben. Vor Ort hatte ich immer einen Ansprechpartner. Diesem konnte ich immer schreiben wenn ich Fragen hatte oder Ähnliches, es wurde schnell geantwortet. Auf den Galapagos Inseln wurde ich auf jeder Insel empfangen und zum Hotel gebracht, auch bei der Abreise wurde ich beim Transfer begleitet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis finde ich super. Ich kann Galapagos Pro nur empfehlen, da sich die Mitarbeiter super auskennen und die Reise individuell nach den eigenen Wünschen erstellen. Die Galapagos Inseln sind ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Auch das Festland von Ecuador ist wunderschön und abwechslungsreich, einen Abstecher ins Amazonas Tiefland kann ich hierzu empfehlen. Ich habe mich während meiner Reise in Ecuador auf dem Festland auch immer sicher gefühlt und kann dieses Land sehr empfehlen.

I spent a week alone on the Galapagos Islands. Starting in San Cristóbal to Isabela and Santa Cruz.

The trip was perfectly organized and tailored to my wishes. A great mix of group excursions and time on my own. The hotels were all great and the transfers went smoothly.

As I was traveling alone and don’t speak Spanish very well, I was a bit nervous at first about whether everything would work out, but Ms Zwermann allayed my fears right from the first conversation and the team on site was simply great.

I am very impressed with how perfectly everything was organized.

Ich war für eine Woche alleine auf den Galapagos Inseln. Angefangen in San Cristóbal nach Isabela und Santa Cruz.

Die Reise war perfekt organisiert und nach meinen Wünschen gestaltet. Eine super Mischung aus Gruppen Ausflügen und Zeit für mich alleine. Die Hotels waren alle super und die Transfers haben einwandfrei geklappt.

Da ich alleine gereist bin und nicht sehr gut spanisch spreche, war ich anfangs doch etwas nervös, ob alles klappen würde, aber Frau Zwermann hat mir diese Angst gleich beim ersten Gespräch genommen und das Team vor Ort war einfach grossartig.

Ich bin sehr beeindruckt wie perfekt alles organisiert war.

Vielen lieben Dank dafür und vielen Dank für die wunderbare Betreuung vor Ort, für die konstante Kommunikation, die Geduld und die vielen Tips.

Ich hatte ein unvergessliche Zeit

I was already in Quito through Galapagos Pro in 2018, on a diving safari in Galapagos and then on the island of Santa Cruz. The trip was simply amazing and I was really anticipating it!

This time as a couple we flew to paradise for 3 weeks.

Already the planning was flawless, great advice, lots of suggestions and an open ear for all questions. The personalized itinerary was particularly great again!

The accommodations were all very appealing, super nice staff, very clean and well located. We were perfectly looked after on site by the local colleagues from Galapagos Pro, who were very easy to reach and available to answer any questions.

This time we also went on a diving safari on board the Galapagos Master. The boat was very clean and well maintained, the staff were very friendly and always in a good mood and the food was also very good. It’s unbelievable, but the safari and especially the TG was even more spectacular than in 2018. Simply incredible and definitely unforgettable diving with Darwin and Wolf. For me, the best dive sites in the world, double confirmation!

There is more of everything and even bigger than anywhere else. Despite the low season, we had 37 whale sharks in 2 days, which simply leaves you speechless.

The hikes on the islands were also breathtaking, some organized, some on our own. You feel like you’re in a National Geographic episode!

I can only recommend it to everyone, Galapagos is definitely worth a trip, preferably via Galapagos Pro – the professionals for these islands :)

Ich war bereits 2018 über Galapagos Pro in Quito, auf Galapagos auf Tauchsafari und anschließend auf der Insel Santa Cruz. Die Reise war einfach Mega und meine Vorfreude daher groß!

Dieses Mal zu zweit flogen wir für 3 Wochen ins Paradies.

Bereits die Planung lief einwandfrei, tolle Beratung, viele Vorschläge und ein offenes Ohr für alle Fragen. Besonders toll auch wieder die individuelle Zusammenstellung des Reiseplans!

Die Unterkünfte waren allesamt sehr ansprechend, super nettes Personal, sehr sauber und gut gelegen. Wir wurden vor Ort perfekt durch die ortsansässigen Kollegen von Galapagos Pro betreut, sehr gut erreichbar und für jede Frage verfügbar.

Wir waren auch dieses Mal auf Tauchsafari an Bord der Galapagos Master. Das Boot war sehr sauber und gepflegt, das Peronal sehr freundlich und immer in guter Laune und das Essen ebenfalls sehr gut. Es ist unfassbar, aber die Safari und vor allem die TG war noch spektakulärer als 2018. Einfach unglaublich und definitiv unvergesslich bei Darwin und Wolf zu tauchen. Für mich die besten Tauchspots der Welt, doppelt bestätigt!!

Es gibt von allem mehr und dann auch noch größer als anderswo. Trotz Nebensaison hatten wir 37 Walhaie in 2 Tagen, das macht einfach sprachlos..

Atemberaubend waren auch die Wanderungen auf den Inseln, teils organisiert, teils auf eigene Faust. Man fühlt sich wie in einer National Geographic Folge!

Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen, Galapagos ist definitiv eine Reise wert, am besten über Galapagos Pro – den Profis für diese Inseln :)

We chose Galapagos Pro because of the individual concept, as traveling in a group is not for us and we were not disappointed. From the hotels to the excursions, we were able to customize everything and arrange it according to our wishes. Both when booking here in Germany (and we often changed our minds) and on site with Karin and Rebekka, we always felt that we were in incredibly good hands! Karin and Rebekka were always there for us and made every effort to ensure that everything went as planned and, for example, two of our excursions were rescheduled because we fell ill. The only thing we would do differently is to spend more days in San Cristobal with the sea lions and not book an excursion directly on the day after the crossing to the next island if you are a little sensitive.

Galapagos Pro and the entire team gave us two unforgettable and stress-free weeks in paradise and we can therefore wholeheartedly recommend Galapagos Pro to everyone!

Wir haben uns für Galapagos Pro entschieden auf Grund des individuellen Konzepts, da das Reisen in einer Gruppe nichts für uns ist und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Von Hotels bis zu den Ausflügen konnten wir alles individuell anpassen und nach unseren Wünschen gestalten. Sowohl bei der Buchung hier in Deutschland (und wir haben oft die Meinung geändert) als auch vor Ort mit Karin und Rebekka haben wir uns immer wahnsinnig gut aufgehoben gefühlt! Karin und Rebekka waren immer für uns da und haben sich wahnsinnig darum bemüht, dass alles wie geplant läuft und bspw auch zwei unserer Ausflüge verlegt werden, da wir krank wurden. Das einzige was wir anders machen würden ist mehr Tage in San Cristobal bei den Seelöwen verbringen und nicht direkt am Tag nach der Überfahrt auf die nächste Insel einen Ausflug buchen, sollte man ein wenig empfindlich sein.

Galapagos Pro mit dem gesamten Team hat uns zwei unvergessliche und stressfrei Wochen im Paradies beschert und daher können wir Galapagos Pro guten Herzens uneingeschränkt jedem nur empfehlen!

We are back from Galapagos with great impressions. After the long 2-year wait due to Corona, we almost no longer believed in the trip, so we are all the happier now that it worked out after all. Many thanks to the Galapagos PRO team for their perseverance during what must have been a difficult time.

It was an intensive trip with an enormous density of experiences.

The combination of cruise and land stay was just right, the itinerary, the well-organized excursions and the choice of hotels were perfect. The only thing that was a bit of a shame was that Bartolomé was visited twice, both by ship and on a day trip from Santa Cruz.

The Cormorant is a great ship with plenty of space for everyone, a nice crew and delicious cuisine, a very intensive excursion program and an extremely professional guide.

On the day trips from the mainland, the quality of the guides varied greatly, from very professional to very casual (almost careless when snorkeling).

The support before and during the trip by Galapagos PRO and the local representatives was perfect, we always received feedback on questions at short notice, were looked after personally and also provided with valuable tips.

We will certainly travel to Ecuador again – we would like to explore the Avenue of the Volcanoes and the jungle. On the South American continent, Bolivia (Salar de Uyuni) and Patagonia (Fitz Roy and Paine National Park) are still on our wish list.

wir sind mit großartigen Eindrücken wieder aus Galapagos zurück. Vielen Dank an das Galapagos PRO-Team für das Durchhaltevermögen in dieser sicher schwierigen Zeit.

Es war eine intensive Reise mit einer enormen Erlebnisdichte.

Die Kombination aus Kreuzfahrt und Landaufenthalt war genau richtig, der Verlauf, die bestens organisierten Ausflüge und die Auswahl der Hotels optimal. Lediglich daß Bartolomé doppelt war und sowohl mit dem Schiff angefahren wurde als auch per Tagesausflug von Santa Cruz aus, war etwas schade.

Die Cormorant ist ein tolles Schiff mit sehr viel Platz für jeden, einer netten Crew und leckerer Küche, einem sehr intensiven Ausflugsprogramm und einem überaus professionellen Guide.

Bei den Tagesausflügen vom Festland ist die Qualität der Guides stark schwankend, von sehr professionell bis sehr lässig (beim Schnorcheln fast nachlässig) war alles vertreten.

Die Betreuung vor und während der Reise durch Galapagos PRO und die Repräsentantinnen vor Ort war perfekt, immer haben wir kurzfristig zu Fragen eine Rückmeldung erhalten, wurden persönlich umsorgt und auch mit wertvollen Tipps versorgt.

Sicherlich werden wir mal wieder nach Ecuador reisen – wir möchten noch die Straße der Vulkane und den Dschungel erkunden. Auf dem südamerikanischen Kontinent steht noch Bolivien (Salar de Uyuni) und Patagonien (Fitz Roy und Paine-Nationalpark) auf der Wunsch-Agenda.

Gerade sind wir von unserem Ecuador-Urlaub mit Galapagos zurückgekehrt und haben eine unendlich Fülle einmaliger und schöner Erlebnisse im Gepäck. und dies liegt nicht nur daran, dass Ecuador ein so vielfältiges und schönes Land ist, dies liegt auch an der Zusammenstellung der Reise durch Galapagos Pro nach meinen Wünschen. Angefangen bei der wirklich sehr kompetenten Beratung bis hin zur eigentlichen Buchung und update mit Informationen bis zum Abflug sind wir wirklich bereits hier in Deutschland perfekt begleitet worden. Kaum in Ecuador gelandet, kümmerte sich das Galapagos Pro Team auch vor Ort um all unsere Fragen und kleineren Probleme, die in einem uns bis dahin nur aus dem Reiseführer und Erzählungen bekannten Land auftreten. Die Eindrücke, die wir aus Quito, dem Regenwald und von den Galapagos Inseln mitbringen, stehen den Versprechungen der Galapagos-Pro Webseite und dem individuell zusammengestellten Reiseplan in nichts nach. Jedes noch so kleine Detail entsprach den Versprechungen im Programm. Zu jeder Zeit konnten wir unsere Fragen an die jeweils vor Ort Ansprechpartner von Galapagos Pro loswerden.

Die tolle individuelle Betreuung vor Ort war absolut außergewöhnlich. Die faszinierende Tierwelt sowieso! Die Inseln sind auch mit 3 Kinder zwischen 5 und 11 sehr gut zu bereisen. Das Acacia (Santa Cruz) und das Isabela Beach House sind ausgezeichnete Hotels, die mit sehr viel Herzblut geführt werden und die wir gerne empfehlen. Die Tourauswahl war sehr abwechselungsreich. Isabela hat uns am Besten gefallen, insbesondere die Tuneles Tour, als Highlight. Die Concha Perla ist für kleinere Kinder der beste Spot zum Schnorcheln. Kleine Anmerkungen auf sehr hohem Niveau. Kicker Rock vor San Cristobal wollte ich unbedingt, ist aber für Kinder zum Schnorcheln nicht sinnvoll und hatte ziemlich schlechte Sicht. Santa Cruz hat im Vergleich zu Isabela weniger gute Schnorchelbedingungen (teilweise schlechte Sicht), da könnte man noch etwas deutlicher darauf hinweisen. Espanola und North Seymour waren landseitig ebenso echte Highlights. Kleiner Tipp für Kinder: Auf Flügen zwischen den Inseln ist neben dem Piloten immer ein Platz frei und anscheinend kann man die sogar vorab bei der Airline reservieren. Eine andere Familie auf unserem Flug hat das gemacht. Ein absolutes Highlight für deren Tochter.
