The trip was perfectly organised and everything worked out great. We had local support everywherewe went, and it allowed us to just enjoy our days without worrying about delays, changes etc. – we knew that everything would be taken care of.

The trip itself was never stressful, we always had enough free time to explore the islands on our own as well. At the same time, we were very happy to have booked many excursions early so that we knew exactly what to expect every day.

The Galapagos Islands are simply fantastic, the wildlife and nature fascinated us so much that we have already decided to make another trip there in the future – but perhaps in another season when the water is a bit warmer.

Der Start in Quito war schon ein besonderes Erlebnis, das Hotel “Casa El Eden” war großartig, wie ein Besuch bei Freunden. Der Stadtrundgang mit unserem Guide Vinicio war ausgesprochen interessant, wir haben nicht nur viel gesehen, sondern auch eine Fülle an Informationen über Land und Leute bekommen.

Die Kreuzfahrt auf der Coral 1 wunderschön. Die Kabine war zwar klein, aber war mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet. Die gesamte Crew war einfach perfekt, egal ob Küche oder Reinigungskräfte…Die Verpflegung war mehr als reichlich und immer gut.

Anlass für die Reise war natürlich das Kennenlernen der einmaligen Landschft und der Tierwelt…Hier waren unsere beiden Guides perfekt, sie konnten ein unglaublich vielfältiges Wissen vermitteln, so daß jeder Landgang ein einmaliges Erlebnis war.

Der anschließende Aufenthalt auf Isabela in der “Casa de Marita” war eine gelungene Abrundung unserer Traumreise, hier noch ein besonderer Dank an Rebecka für die perfekte und liebevolle Betreuung.

Fazit: Die gesamte Planung und Organisation durch GalapagosPro war hervorragend, alles hat geklappt, per WhatsApp waren wir immer bestens über die nächsten Schritte informiert.

Daß der Rückflug von Isabela nach Santa Cruz durch Emetebe kurzfristig gecancelt wurde war zwar etwas ärgerlich, aber dafür konnte GalapagosPro ja nichts, es wurde sofort der Transfer per Schnellboot organisiert, so daß wir unseren Rückflug nach Guayaquil problemlos erreichten.

Dem gesamten Team von GalapagosPro sagen wir ganz herzlichen Dank für die Planung und Organisation, besser geht’s nicht!

Our beginning in Quito was already a special experience, the Hotel ‘Casa El Eden’ was great, like visiting a friend. The city tour with our guide Vinicio was quite interesting and we didn’t just see a lot but also got to know so much information about the country and its people.

The cruise aboard the Coral was beautiful. Even though the cabin was small, it was equipped with everything necessary. The entire crew was perfect, no matter if kitchen or housekeeping… We had more than enough meals and always great.

The reason for this journey was of course to get to know the unique landscape and animal kingdom…Both of our guides were perfect, they were able to impart various knowledge making every excursion a unique experience.

Our additional stay on the island of Isabela at the ‘Casa de Marita’ was a great way to end our dream tour, a special thank you to Rebecka for taking such great care of us.

Conclusion: The entire panning and organization by GalapagosPro was outstanding, everything went great, and we were always informed of our next steps through WhatsApp. That our flight from Isabela to Santa Cruz was cancelled was of course not GalapagosPro’s fault and a transfer via boat was arranged immediately, so that we were able to get to our return flight to Guayaquil with no problem.

Im Juli reisten wir mit unseren beiden Söhnen (9/13) nach Quito, um zunächst eine spannende, unglaublich vielseitige Rundreise mit einem Mietwagen auf dem Festland zu machen. 1o Tage lang erkundigten wir die Großstadt Quito, Nebelwälder von Mindo, Papallacta, Misahualli, Baños de Agua Santa und die Gegend um den Cotopaxi. Die Ecuadorianer sind so liebenswürdig und freundlich, wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Unterkünfte haben uns alle sehr gut gefallen, stets waren die Vermieter sehr freundlich und haben uns tolle Tipps für unsere Ausflüge gegeben und alles ermöglicht, was uns spontan einfiel. Wir schwammen an Wasserfällen, umgeben von Kolibris, “flogen” mit der Tarabita über den Regenwald, wärmten uns in den Thermen nach einer Wanderung im Nationalpark, und wanderten nach einem Kontrastprogramm im Regenwald mit Bootsfahrt und vielen Erlebnissen sogar noch im Cotopaxi Nationalpark. Selbst ein Ausritt auf den wohl entspanntesten Pferden Ecuadors war möglich, mit Blick auf mehrere Vulkane. Und überall leckerstes frisches Essen. Danach flogen wir von Quito auf die Galapagos Inseln, – Inselhopping mit Kindern. Erst auf Santa Cruz 4 Tage, dann 5 auf Isabela. Unglaublich, diese Tierwelt… mit dem Wassertaxi fahren, Haie beobachten, Pelikane, Seelöwen, Iguanas, Meeresschildkröten, riesige Landschildkröten… sehr gut ausgebildete FührerInnen erzählten uns Wissenswertes auf Englisch, wir haben viel über die Geschichte, Geographie und Flora& Faune der Inseln gelernt, jede Tour war es wert. Das Herz haben wir an Isabela verloren… mit Seelöwen schnorcheln in La Concha, Haie und Meeresschildkröten beobachten auf Ausflügen, am schönsten Strand wohnen, unter dem Sternenhimmel aufs Meer blicken… wir waren stets bestens versorgt und alle Fragen wurden sehr geduldig und schnell geklärt. Unser ältester Sohn hat auf Isabela sogar auf Vermittlung durch galapagos pro Wellenreiten gelernt, das war phantastisch! Los tuneles sind unglaublich schön, der Ausflug hat uns am besten gefallen! Es war ein toller Urlaub für unsere Familie, ein gelungenes gemeinsames Abenteuer. Wir würden sofort wieder losfliegen!!

In July, we traveled to Quito with our two sons (9/13) to do an exciting, incredibly varied round trip with a rental car on the mainland. For 1o days we explored the big city of Quito, the cloud forests of Mindo, Papallacta, Misahualli, Baños de Agua Santa and the area around Cotopaxi. The Ecuadorians are so kind and friendly, we felt very welcome. We liked all the accommodation very much, the landlords were always very friendly and gave us great tips for our excursions and made everything possible that we spontaneously thought of. We swam at waterfalls surrounded by hummingbirds, “flew” with the Tarabita over the rainforest, warmed up in the thermal baths after a hike in the national park, and even hiked in Cotopaxi National Park after a contrasting program in the rainforest with a boat trip and many experiences. It was even possible to go horseback riding on what are probably the most relaxed horses in Ecuador, with views of several volcanoes. And the most delicious fresh food everywhere. We then flew from Quito to the Galapagos Islands – island hopping with children. First on Santa Cruz for 4 days, then 5 on Isabela. Unbelievable, this wildlife… Taking a water cab, watching sharks, pelicans, sea lions, iguanas, sea turtles, giant tortoises… Very well-trained guides told us interesting facts in English, we learned a lot about the history, geography and flora & fauna of the islands, every tour was worth it. We have lost our hearts to Isabela… Snorkeling with sea lions in La Concha, watching sharks and sea turtles on excursions, staying on the most beautiful beach, gazing at the sea under a starry sky… we were always well looked after and all questions were answered very patiently and quickly. Our eldest son even learned to surf on Isabela through galapagos pro, which was fantastic! Los tuneles are incredibly beautiful, we liked the excursion the best! It was a great vacation for our family, a successful adventure together. We would go again in a heartbeat!

Eine unvergessliche Reise im “rundum sorglos Paket”. Die gute Betreuung an allen Ankunfts- und Abfavrtspunkten erlaubte einem eine entspannte Reise.

Die vielen geführten Ausflüge mit gut ausgebildeten Naturführern brachten einem viel Wissen zum Gesehenen und vor allem an Orte, an denen man der Natur, den Tieren, den Pflanzen so nah war, wie man es sonst nicht erleben könnte. Schwimmen mit den Seelöwen im Pazifik, “on the road” mit den Riesenschildkröten, Blaufuss- und Rotfusstölpel, Fregattvögel, Landleguane, Meeresechsen, riesige Wasserschildkröten, Goldrochen, Weissspitzenriffhaie und bunte Fischwelt hautnah.

The many guided excursions with well-trained nature guides gave us a lot of information about what we saw and, above all, to places where we were closer to nature, animals and plants than we would otherwise have been able to experience. The travel documents were very well prepared and the people in Ecuador, including the tourist police and the officials at the airports, are very friendly and helpful. Every day unique, travel days between the islands were adventure days for me, animals with no apparent escape instinct, the young sea lions seem to be just waiting for the tourists who go into the water to play with them and swim around them. But be careful – really don’t touch them! A young American woman was bitten by a sea lion because her companion slapped a sea lion sleeping on a bench!

alles hat perfekt geklappt, ich wurde immer von einem deutschsprachigen Reiseleiter begrüßt, aktuell informiert und bekam auf meine Fragen kompetente Antworten. Die Reiseunterlagen waren eine sehr gute Vorbereitung und die Menschen in Equador einschließlich der Touristenpolizei und der Beamten auf den Flughäfen sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Jeder Tag einzigartig, Reisetage zwischen den Inseln waren für mich Erlebnistage, Tiere ohne scheinbare Fluchtdistanz, die jungen Seelöwen scheinen nur auf die Touristen zu warten, welche ins Wasser gehen, um mit ihnen zu spielen und sie zu umschwimmen. Aber Vorsicht- wirklich nicht anfassen! Eine junge Amerikanerin wurde vom Seelöwen gebissen, weil ihr Begleiter einem auf einer Bank schlafenden Seelöwen einen Klaps gab!

I had already spent 25 days of my 6-week individual tour through Ecuador. The sometimes violent uprisings in the country made my travel program almost impossible. So I was faced with the decision of flying home early or spontaneously traveling to the Galapagos Islands for another 15 days – I had already been there years ago. After some initial research on the internet, I remembered the random encounter and conversations with Yannik and Finn from Galapagos-Pro (I had never heard of this agency before) on the summit of Rucu Pichincha a few weeks ago … I contacted Yannik in Quito to see if Galapagos-Pro could make an offer for a trip to Galapagos at short notice.

Within a few days, Yannik, in cooperation with his colleagues in Frankfurt and on the Galapagos Islands, put together a program that met my wishes (western route on a good quality ship, land stay on two islands including a tour to Espaniola) and was also competitive in terms of price/performance ratio. The dialogue was extremely intensive, open and characterized by a high level of expertise. The documents sent were extremely informative in terms of organization and nature/animal world.

The trip itself then went completely according to plan, always flanked by direct contact with Galapagos-Pro (Yannik, Karin/Santa Cruz and Manuela/San Cristobal). The 8-day western route of the cruise, the activities, the ship (the Solaris with a great crew and excellent food) were just as first-class as the stays ashore (including two booked day tours and suggestions for individual activities). One hotel on San Cristobal was rebooked as a precaution and without my involvement due to the construction noise caused by a building site next door.

I was able to experience the wildlife and island world on Galapagos – simply outstanding and unique – intensively on numerous shore excursions, snorkeling and boat tours.

Ich war bereits 25 Tage lang auf einer insgesamt 6-wöchigen individuellen Tour durch Ecuador. Die teilweise gewalttätigen Aufstände im Land haben mein Reiseprogramm nahezu unmöglich gemacht. So stand ich vor der Entscheidung, vorzeitig nach Hause zu fliegen oder spontan noch 15 Tage auf die Galapagos Inseln – ich war vor Jahren schon einmal dort – zu reisen. Nach ersten Recherchen im Internet hatte ich mich an die zufällige Begegnung sowie die Gespräche mit Yannik und Finn von Galapagos-Pro (diese Agentur war mir bis dahin unbekannt) auf dem Gipfel des Rucu Pichincha vor einigen Wochen erinnert … ich habe mit Yannik in Quito Kontakt aufgenommen, um zu sehen, ob Galapagos-Pro kurzfristig ein Angebot für eine Reise nach Galapagos abgeben kann.

Binnen weniger Tage hat Yannik in Zusammenarbeit mit seinen Kollegen in Frankfurt und auf den Galapagos Inseln ein Programm zusammengestellt, welches meinen Wünschen (Westroute auf einem qualitativ guten Schiff, Landaufenthalt auf zwei Inseln einschliesslich Tour nach Espaniola) entsprach und auch vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis her wettbewerbsfähig war. Der Dialog war ausgesprochen intensiv, offen und von hoher Sachkenntnis geprägt. Die übersandten Unterlagen waren hinsichtlich Organisatorischem sowie Natur-/Tierwelt ausgesprochen informativ.

Die Reise selbst verlief dann komplett nach Plan, immer flankiert durch direkten Kontakt zu Galapagos-Pro (Yannik, Karin/Santa Cruz und Manuela/San Cristobal). Die 8-tägige Westroute der Kreuzfahrt, die Aktivitäten, das Schiff (die Solaris mit toller Crew und hervorragender Verköstigung) waren genauso erstklassig wie die Aufenthalte an Land (einschl. zweier gebuchter Tagestouren sowie Vorschlägen für individuelle Unternehmungen). Ein Hotel auf San Cristobal wurde vorsorglich und ohne mein Zutun umgebucht wegen des Baulärms durch eine Baustelle nebenan.

Die Tier- und Inselwelt auf Galapagos – schlichtweg herausragend und einmalig – konnte ich über zahlreiche Landgänge, Schnorchel- und Bootstouren intensiv erleben.
